Daniel Ough C.Eng. Fellow.I.E.E. Fellow.C.I.B.S.E.

Daniel Ough is an experienced executive, having lived and worked in the UK, the Far East, the West Indies and the Middle East. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institution of Electrical Engineers and a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.

He held several appointments during the 9 years he was with British Airports Authority. He was Chief Engineer (works services) for the Civil Aviation Authority in Scotland for 4 years.

During the time he was with the UK government property department Daniel Ough was Principal Project and Planning Engineer for overseas projects that took him to over 20 countries. He was also advisor to the UK Overseas Development Agency.

Daniel Ough has also held senior appointments in the commercial sector, in the City of London as Chief Engineer for a merchant bank and also Chief Engineer for a large Canadian property company.

He joined the Airport Authority for the New International Hong Kong Airport as the executive manager responsible for the strategic planning for bringing the airport - at that time the biggest construction project in the world - into full operation.

For 5 years Daniel Ough was Director of Engineering for The Resort Management Company, a Caribbean company based in St. Lucia operating resorts in the region. He established Sandpiper Consultants, a company providing training and technical advice. In Trinidad he was the expert maintenance consultant for the Airports Authority and the Regional Health Reform Program. He is now based in Dubai, providing advice on a consultancy basis.

Since 2003 Daniel Ough has been the director of Sandpiper Consultants in Dubai, advising clients in the UAE, Qatar, India, Australia and Korea. He is a frequent speaker at international FM conferences and has had articles published on operational readiness and situational analysis.
